New River Medical Center is a 25-bed critical access hospital dedicated to providing patient-centered care that improves the health and well-being of our community. The medical center provides care to more than 35,000 patients and their families each year.

New River Medical Center is a community owned hospital with an eight-member elected Board of Directors. Board members are elected by and represent the residents of Becker Township, Big Lake City and Township, Monticello City and Township, Otsego City and Silver Creek Township.

New River Medical Center employs more than 500 staff members and has more than 150 medical staff members.

The Emergency Department at New River Medical Center is equipped to handle illness and injury 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

HeartScan
New River Medical Center offers HeartScan, a simple, inexpensive test that can detect coronary heart disease in its earliest stages – when it is still possible to keep it from getting worse and long before there are any symptoms.

Imaging
The Imaging department at New River Medical Center is equipped to assist the diagnosis and treatment of injury and illness. The Imaging department offers MRI, CT, mammograms, fluoroscopy, ultrasounds and general imaging procedures.

Inpatient Rehab Care
At New River Medical Center's Inpatient Rehab Unit, we strive to set the standard for quality health care services through individualized treatment and multidisciplinary team approach.

Intensive Care
The Intensive Care Unit provides care for the adult patient who requires close observation due to a critical medical condition. The ICU team is experienced in critical care and works with a variety of medical disciplines to give each patient the best care possible.

Laboratory
The Laboratory Department at New River Medical Center is committed to utilizing the most modern diagnostic technology in order to provide the highest level of health care service to patients in the community.

Medical/Surgical Care
The Medical/Surgical department provides multidisciplinary inpatient care to adult patients with a variety of medical conditions and surgical interventions.

Monticello Cancer Center
New River Medical Center has partnered with experts from North Memorial and CentraCare Health System to bring renowned cancer care to our community.

Rehab and Extended Care
Located on the banks of the Mississippi, New River Medical Center's Rehab and Extended Care offers a homelike atmosphere for residents who require 24 hour nurse supervision and care.

Pediatric Care
We are proud to provide comprehensive pediatric care for children from birth through age 18. We have created a family-focused service in which children can receive both inpatient and outpatient care for a variety of conditions.

Respiratory Care
The Respiratory Care department at New River Medical Center is staffed 24 hours per day 7 days per week by a staff of credentialed Respiratory Care Practitioners who are registered with the Minnesota Board of Medical Practice.

Sleep Center
The Sleep Center at New River Medical Center is nationally accredited by the American Academy of Sleep Medicine to provide care to children and adults who are suffering from sleep disorders.

Surgical Services
Whether it's a complicated procedure requiring an inpatient stay or same day surgery as an outpatient, patients at New River Medical Center's Surgical Services department are cared for with privacy and comfort.

Wound Care Center
The Wound Care Center at New River Medical Center provides outpatient care to manage and treat all kinds of wounds, ostomies and related conditions.
